Having worked in the pest control industry since 1970, Jim Hite decided to parlay a successful career as sales manager for a national pest control company into a business of his own. In 1981, Land O’Lakes Pest Control Company was founded and later incorporated as J. Hite Exterminating to keep pace with the ever-expanding perimeter of our operations.

Now servicing the greater Tampa Bay area – as far north as Land O’Lakes, south to Apollo Beach, east to Plant City and west to U.S. 19, J. Hite Exterminating proudly offers a full range of residential and commercial pest control and termite programs, along with year-around care of lawns, ornamental plants, shrubs and trees. Long before “going green” was popular, we were diligent in our efforts to develop efficient, effective and environmentally friendly ways to deliver our products and services because we firmly believe it makes sense for all of us, our families, our pets, the earth we stand on, the air we breathe and the water we drink.
